Delete Your LangFeed Account and Data

This page explains how to request that your LangFeed account and the data linked to it are deleted. LangFeed is the language learning app published on Google Play and the App Store. You can delete your account yourself inside the app, or send us a deletion request by email.

Option 1: Delete your account in the app

1. Open the LangFeed app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Open Settings.
4. Tap Delete Account.
5. Confirm the request. Your account is closed immediately and the data listed below is erased from our systems.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you no longer have access to the app or you prefer us to handle it, email us and we will delete your account for you.

1. Send your email from the address you used to sign up for LangFeed.
2. Use the subject line Delete my data.
3. Include your LangFeed username or account email so we can find the right account.
4. We will confirm your identity if needed, then delete the account and reply to confirm once it is done.

We respond to deletion requests within 7 days and complete them within 30 days of receiving the request.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently erase:

• Your account and profile: name, username, email address, profile photo, and login credentials.
• Your learning data: saved words and vocabulary lists, imported content and lessons, quiz results, XP, streaks, and progress history.
• Your content and activity: videos and files you imported, transcripts and breakdowns generated from them, AI tutor chat history, posts, comments, and shared links.
• Your social data: friends, followers, leaderboard entries, and room or meeting activity.
• Device and app identifiers linked to your account, and any push notification tokens.

What data is kept, and for how long

• Purchase and billing records: kept for up to 7 years where tax and accounting law requires it. These records do not include your learning data.
• Security and abuse records: a minimal record of blocked or banned accounts is kept for up to 12 months to prevent abuse and fraud.
• Anonymous and aggregated statistics: usage counts that can no longer be linked back to you may be kept indefinitely.
• Encrypted backups: copies of your data may remain in routine backups for up to 90 days after deletion, after which they are overwritten and permanently removed.

Deleting some data without closing your account

You do not have to delete your whole account. You can remove individual imported videos, lessons, saved words, chats, and posts inside the app, and they are erased from our systems the same way. Email hello@lang-feed.com if you want help removing specific data instead of the full account.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel a LangFeed Premium subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the App Store, so cancel yours in the store subscription settings before you delete your account.
